These projects aim to address barriers that prevent children and young people from accessing cycle training.
Our project’s aims are to increase participation in L3 training, focussing on
- Young people who access alternative curriculum in mainsstream schools
- Young people who are educated in an alternative setting (PRU, Hospital provision, alternative timetables)
- Young people with complex lives due to involvement in additional systems, which may take them away from their school setting (Criminal justice, Social Care, Healthcare
Our Project has involved
- Developing alternative curriculum resources to wrap around L3 delivery for schools and other education providers to use.
- Delivery of L3 in a range of settings.

Bike Maintenance & Mechanical Systems in Bikes
We created these topics because our colleagues in education wanted to be able to teach young people how to maintain their bikes and use this as an opportunity to explore STEAM curriculum links.
