Revolution Learning

A Neuro-inclusive approach to education and training.

The methodology of this style of education is tailored to meet the needs of neurodivergent learners. Representation of Neurodiversity is much higher than it is in the general population, within marginalised groups, such as recovery communities, NEET young people, people involved in the criminal justice system etc.

Some pathways are only available alongside specific projects and others can be provided on a stand alone basis. You can find out more about our pathways below.

We use AQA unit awards to recognise learning and aim to help participants gain practical skills that they can use for the rest of their lives. This may involve pursuing more formal education in their chosen field or pursuing employment opportunities straight away!

Revolution Learning is developing, with the needs of its learners informing what we offer. We welcome partnerships with other organisations and hope to expand our offer greatly, meeting many unmet needs within our local community.

Pathways

Ride Leader Course

Our ride Leader course consists of 5 units and was the first pathway we developed. This pathway has proven successful as it has helped participants to; improve their wellbeing, provide access to cycling activities within the Elisha House community and gain further training and employment as a cycling instructor.

This pathway is the legacy of our ‘Road to Recovery’ project, which was funded by Sport England’s Tackling Inequalities Fund via the Canal & River Trust.

Café Volunteering

We developed this pathway at the Elisha Community Café. Volunteers have access to Revolution Learning as they learn new skills, reconnect with skills they already have and develop confidence in all aspects of Café work. We are currently looking for other community cafés where we can integrate revolution learning to support and develop volunteers.

If you would like to volunteer at the Elisha Community Café, please use this link to our referral form.

Gardening Volunteering

We developed this pathway with the Elisha Community Gardening project, which provides an invaluable service to members of the local community, supporting people with maintaining their gardens, restoring green spaces back to a manageable and usable state and connecting with members of the community. We are now seeking opportunities to offer this pathway more widely.

Bike Maintenance Volunteering

Those who want to learn about Bike Maintenance can access sessions, where we service, repair and maintain bikes. This pathway is currently in development and looking for a good home where it can serve a community and support the development of employability skills.
